Martin Cortazzi
Martin Cortazzi is Professor of Language Education and Head of the Education Department at Brunel University, UK. He has taught and trained teachers in Britain, China, Turkey, Lebanon, Malaysia, Singapore and elsewhere. He has published many books and articles on language learning, primary education and narrative analysis. His other research publications are in language and culture, literacy, vocabulary learning, discourse analysis and cultures of learning.
Lixian Jin
Jin, Lixian is Principal Lecturer in Linguistics at De Montfort University, UK, where she teaches general linguistics, sociolinguistics, syntax and clinical linguistics. She has taught TESOL/linguistics courses and trained teachers at universities in China, Turkey and Britain. Her publications and research interests are in intercultural communication, academic cultures, cultures of learning, second language development and narrative analysis. She is currently seconded to teach linguistics in the English department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Prof Cortazzi and Dr Jin have been conducting joint research into Chinese learners of English for more than ten years. Their research and publications have been widely recognized by researchers and university teachers from the West and in China.
Frank L. Tang
Professor Frank L. Tang received his Ph.D. in TESOL from New York
University and is now the Director of TESOL/Bilingual Education/Foreign
Language Education Programs, New York University. He has been teaching
English and doing ESL/ESL teacher training for over 30 years, and is
now teaching mostly graduate students and doctoral students.
Simon Bell
Simon Bell is Market Development Director of Collins Dictionaries. He has
worked for HarperCollins for three years. Prior to this he worked for Oxford
University Press in Hong Kong and Routledge in London.
